Saphina Zhuge
I was born in France and studied in the UK. I first picked up a camera nearly twenty years ago, initially out of simple curiosity. Over time, it became something quietly meaningful. Life moved on, and the camera was shelved, but not entirely forgotten. The steady evolution of smartphone cameras allowed me to stay connected, gradually shaping my eye even without formal practice.
Today, I photograph with a sense of attentiveness, drawn to both what’s clearly visible and what often goes unnoticed. I work across formats, believing that the tool matters less than the act of seeing. Photography, for me, is a way of holding onto those small moments of emotion that might otherwise slip by, because in the end, it's often those moments that matter most.
